Shania is everything we wanted. With a wonderful temperament and so healthy a great example of true breed type of what a GSD should be.  Shania is sired by CH Baa Baa Black Sheep of Edan, OFA,DNA,TC,CGC,TDI “Wooly” to his friends. Wooly's sire, CH Bravo Von Bleibtreu,ROM, was the #3 Futurity/Maturity sire for 2000. His dam, CH Notforlovenormoney of Edan ROM was also high in the rankings last year as well. CovyTucker Hill's Dettmer's Alabama is her mother.

       Many, many thanks to Karen Fisher of ShadowValley Shepherds in Caro, Michigan for allowing us the honor of having one of her outstanding babies!

       After winning a number of points from the young classes, we elected to breed Shania and give her time to mature before competing seriously for her Chamiopnship.

In January 30th 2004 she had a litter sired by our homebred bred Ch Silverwood's Alabama. We loved the quality of the litter and  kept a female.  “Country” is now going on 9 months and is displaying the same wonderful temperament and sound health as  her mother and father.

Shania, in the Ojibwe Indian tongue, means 'I'm on my way'. By the looks of this little girl, she is certainly getting a good start! Shania has 10 AKCpt s and a maj reserve. As shows are few and far away from here in the winter months, we decided to breed Shania again. This time to that handsome Ch Sharobi’s Freeway, a young dog who has proven to be a producer of the very qualities we so admire. Shania presented us with her 2nd litter on New Year’s Eve! They are spectacular and Mom and the kids are doing beautifully!

   Shania tested her show ring fitness again after raising her Ch. Freeway litter. Now mature and back in show form, she was awarded a MAJOR RESERVE her first show back! That’s our girl!

Better known as "Wooly" he has pretty much done it all for us  at ShadowValley!! Everything ever ask of him..a Triple Champion. A SUPER producer with very limited breedings. And a fabulous companion. He has a heart of gold that is as big as they come! With a willingness to please that goes above and beyond!! At 10 years old he is the heart and soul behind all we do!
 
He personifies the traits we demand in our breeding program -- excellent structure, SUPERB temperament and trainability, kindness, and the ability to reproduce those traits when bred.
 
At eight years old he went out and earned his Herding Instinct Certificate!!  Moving the sheep like he had done it all his life! Its wonderful to see his kids following in his huge paw prints!

  "Wooly" was honored to able to to the Canadian Nationals in Kitchener Ontario Canada, 9/11/08 and be in the Parade of Greats Class....How thrilling for me to get to show off my handsome guy in the ring one more time!
